Jury Failed To Reach Verdict In St. Clair Shores Bar-Punch Case
A second trail is scheduled for next year
SAINT CLAIR SHORES, MI — A Macomb County jury could not reach a verdict Thursday in the case involving a man fatally punching another man outside a St. Clair Shores bar.
Andrew Werling, 36, was charged with manslaughter for for striking Eric Hysell, 56, in the head outside the rear door of Kapones Sports Tavern on Harper Avenue in 2018.
Werling’s attorney, Craig Tank, said the jury was evenly split 6-6 or slightly in favor of conviction at 7-5.
