Looking to buy a new home? Get down payment assistance from MSHDA!!

First time home buyers or those looking to make a move and sell their current home to up-size or downsize can now qualify for assistance from the Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA).  Through the new "MI Next Home" program, the state is offering 4% of the purchase price up to $7500 to use toward down payment/closing costs/etc., through a no interest/no term loan that only needs to be repaid if/when the house is sold.

This assistance is based on income ranging from $70,000 for a one or two person household to just under $100,000 for a three to four person household.  Whether you are a first-time home buyer, current homeowner looking to move up to a bigger home, or an empty nester looking to downsize, you can qualify for this assistance.

This is a great new program offered by the state to help kick-start the real estate market here in Michigan.  If you have even given making a move a thought, either now or in the near future, you owe it to yourself to learn more about the options available to you!  If you would like more information please feel free to give me a call!
