ST. CLAIR SHORES, MI — A St. Clair Shores man could face up to ten years in prison after federal officials said he illegally imported Glock conversion devices from Russia and failed to keep proper records.

Chase Farmer, 23, is charged in an indictment with illegally importing Glock conversion devices and drop-in auto sears through a Russian website from November 2020 to March 2021, federal officials said.

Farmer, who owns firearms a shop in Clinton Township, tried evading authorities by using fake names and details in his PayPal payments to Russia, officials said.

Agents with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives detected the purchases and found evidence of Farmer’s crimes, officials said.
