Police are searching for a man after finding a dead body in a pickup truck that he was driving in Roseville, police said.

ROSEVILLE, MI — Police are searching for a man after finding a dead body in a pickup truck that he was driving in Roseville, police said.

The man ran away from a blue pickup truck after crashing the truck Thursday afternoon in the area of Common and Hayes roads on the Warren/Roseville border, police said.

Officers did not find anyone near the pickup truck when they began investigating the minor crash just after noon and treated the scene as a hit-and-accident, police said.

However, during the investigation, officers discovered a 62-year-old Roseville woman dead in the pickup truck's bed, police said.

Police did not say how the woman died, but did say it looks suspicious. The truck's expired plate traces back to a woman in her early 60s from Macomb County, police said.

No further information was released.

The man police are looking for that ran away from the truck was described as between 17 and 20 years old, 5 foot, 10 inches tall, with brown hair and a slim build. He was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with Nike printed across the front, black sweatpants and Puma brand tennis shoes.
