Macomb Co. Man Dies After Accidentally Setting Himself On Fire: Police

WARREN, MI — A Warren man burned to death Tuesday after he accidentally lit himself on fire at his home, police said.

Officials said the man was working in his backyard at a home on Toepfer Road west of Van Dyke Avenue in Warren when the fire happened.

When officials arrived at the home, they found the man running in front of his house on fire, police said.

Officials chased the burning man into the street, where they quickly put out the flames, but the man died, police said.

No further information was released by police.
