Macomb County Driver Dies In Rollover Crash On I-696: Police

MACOMB COUNTY, MI — A Macomb County driver was killed in a Thursday morning crash on Interstate 696 in Roseville, according to Michigan State Police.

Troopers said the 48-year-old driver from Warren was partially ejected from a 2008 Ford Fusion after losing control and rolling over on the westbound lanes of the freeway near Gratiot Avenue at 1 a.m.

The driver was not wearing a seatbelt and found dead at the scene, police said.

Troopers do not know if drugs or alcohol played a factor in the crash.
