Macomb County Man Fatally Shoots Wife Inside Couple's Home: Police

Macomb County Prosecutor Pete Lucido said the shooting was an act of domestic violence.​

WARREN, MI — A Warren man was charged in connection with fatally shooting his wife, according to the Macomb County Prosecutor's Office.

Antonio Askew, 41, was charged with second-degree murder and felony firearm. He was placed in jail with a $500,000 bond. If convicted, he faces up to life in prison.

Prosecutors said Askew fatally shot his wife Friday inside their Warren home.

Macomb County Prosecutor Pete Lucido said the shooting was an act of domestic violence.

"I will vigorously pursue justice for victims of domestic violence. We will not tolerate such behavior in our society, and we will work tirelessly to hold perpetrators accountable for their actions," Lucido said in a statement.
