Man, 80, Dies After Being Found In Macomb County Canal: Sheriff
Officials have not yet determined a cause of death.
HARRISON TOWNSHIP, MI — An elderly man died after he was found unresponsive in a Macomb County canal last week, according to the Macomb County Sheriff's Office.
Officers found the 80-year-old man in a canal behind his home on the 41000 block of Bayhaven Drive in Harrison Township at 11:23 a.m. Friday morning, according to the sheriff's office.
Officials brought the man to shore and began performing CPR, according to the sheriff's office.

Officials then took the elderly man to a nearby hospital where he died, according to the sheriff's office.
Officials believe the man was in the canal for at least a half an hour before officers found him.
