Man Drowns at Lake St. Clair Metro Park Beach In Macomb County: Police
The Macomb County Sheriff's Office is still investigating the incident.
HARRISON TOWNSHIP, MI — A man drowned at Lake St. Clair Metro Park Saturday afternoon in Harrison Township, according to the Macomb County Sheriff's Office.
Officials said the 57-year-old man was swimming with a friend at the beach, which is located at Metro Parkway and Train Road, at 5:30 p.m. Saturday when he went underwater and didn't resurface.
The man's friend then pulled him to shore and officials performed life-saving measures, but they were unsuccessful, according to the sheriff's office.

The man was taken to a nearby hospital where he died, according to the sheriff's office.
The incident comes as ten people have drowned so far this year in Oakland County, including four that happened last month alone, according to officials.
