Man to Stand Trial for Allegedly Biting Wife's Eyelid

Rahsaan Thedford is bound over to stand trial for assaulting his wife in her St. Clair Shores home.

A 32-year-old Clinton Township man was bound over Tuesday to stand trial for in May.

Rahsaan Thedford is alleged have gone to his wife's home in St. Clair Shores in the pre-dawn hours of Mothers Day and got into an argument.

The argument turned violent as Thedford began assaulting his wife, punching his wife in the face, hitting her head against the hardwood floor and biting off her eyelid before fleeing her house in St. Clair Shores.

When officers arrived, they were greeted by a bloody 34-year-old woman who said Thedford fled the house.

Officers found him a short distance away, hiding under a fence. When he was arrested, police found bloody clothes hidden in his coat.

He will be arraigned in Macomb County Circuit Court June 13. He is being held on $100,000 bond.
