New Restaurants Bring a Variety of Dishes to Macomb County

Shish Kabob Express in Clinton Township: The third Shish Kabob Express opened shortly after Thanksgiving in the North Pointe Plaza at 37111 S. Gratiot Ave. in Clinton Township. The restaurant serves Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine, including fresh-squeezed juice and smoothies. Shish Kabob Express also operates locations in Allen Park and Southfield.

Teppanyaki Grill in Clinton Township: Teppanyaki Grill at 35543 Gratiot in Clinton Township recently opened and serves American, Chinese, sushi, Japanese and Italian dishes.

Taco Bell in Macomb Township: The popular Mexican fast food chain opened a new location on the northeast corner of Hall and Romeo Plank roads in Macomb Township.

Fred's Pizza in Shelby Township: Father and son Erion and Fred Gjysma brought Chicago-Style pizza to Shelby Township at Fred’s Pizza on 24 and Hayes.

Bagger Dave's in Shelby Township: Bagger Dave's recently opened it's ninth Michigan location in Shelby Township. The Michigan-owned and operated burger joint opened inside the Hall Road Crossing Shopping Center on Hall Road and Schoenherr.

Butter Run in St. Clair Shores: The doors to the newest "corner bar" in St. Clair Shores recently opened at the new Butter Run Saloon after an extensive 18-month project to renovate and turn a vacant, dilapidated, cinder block building at the southeast corner of Harper and 11 Mile roads into a modern bar and restaurant with classic saloon-feel.

Red Olive in St. Clair Shores: The 100-seat Greek, Mediterranean and American restaurant recently opened in St. Clair Shores. The restaurant occupies a part of the former Blockbuster store on Harper. This is the 11th location in Metro Detroit for Red Olive.
