The Orbitsuns' LUAU at The Bruce to Benefit Veteran Services on Saturday April 18

VFW Bruce Post 1146 host The Orbitsuns’ Luau on Saturday April 18, 2015. The event is FREE and open to the public ages 21 and over. Doors are at 7 pm, and festivities start at 8 pm.

The Luau will include an amateur hula contest (loaner skirts available at the Hall) and Hawaiian shirt contest (cash prizes!), Mai Tai and tropical drink specials, 50/50 raffle, in addition to dance inducing live music by The Orbitsuns.

Back by popular demand, The Luau will also feature “Drunken Bingo,” pub style bingo in which participants play for free, competing for fun prizes including branded key chains, beer koozies, T-shirts and more. When “Bingo” is achieved, everyone is encouraged to raise a glass and cheer “Bingo” in a celebratory toast.

The public is invited to attend with proceeds from the low-cost cash bar benefitting “The Bruce’s” veteran programs, in addition to the building’s maintenance costs.

“As many of the Orbitsuns reside in Saint Clair Shores it’s an honor to play music and entertain Veterans at the Hall as well as folks from the community,” explains Vinnie Dombroski, The Orbitsuns’ lead singer.

The Orbitsuns are a honky-tonk hybrid of Johnny Cash, Hank Williams and Elvis with a twist of Detroit Rock City and sly humor. Creating toe tapping tunes like their signature hit “Red Neck Disco,” The Orbitsuns pack dance floors across the Midwest and have shared stages with numerous country luminaries including Willie Nelson, David Allen Coe, Blake Shelton, and Sawyer Brown
