Turnovers, penalties, sputtering offense and tough breaks leads to playoff upset of South Lake.

In the postseason, it's win-or-go-home.

Turnovers, untimely penalties and an offense that simply didn't look as explosive as usual contributed to the loss. Thus, the 2011 campaign came to a close for the Cavs.

Down 12-0 at the half, the Cavs took their opening possession of the second half down the field deep into Eagles territory. A fumble squashed any hopes of points for South Lake and echoed what seemed to be a hard-luck type game for the squad.

Further evidence of this came in the second quarter when a pass interference call kept the Chandler Park drive alive, and set up the team's second score of the night.

The Cavs manged to put some points on the board midway through the final 12 minutes, when senior Casual Williams took the ball in from one yard out to the the gap to 14 points, 20-6.

That was as close as the Cavs would get, however, as Chandler Park picked off a South Lake pass with just over 2 minutes remaining in the game. One first down later, the Eagles could run the clock out and advance to the next round of the state tourney.

South Lake finished the season 8-2 overall.
