Lake Shore blanks Lamphere, 3-0, to earn District title and a spot in the regional semifinals

They simply looked like they wanted it more Saturday afternoon - plain and simple.

This effort resulted in a 3-0 district-title-winning victory for 's boys soccer team over Lamphere High in front of an enthusiastic and appreciative home crowd.

Barnett's first goal came after he broke away from the defense at the 11:54 mark of the opening half, while he scored his second goal of the game (scored at the 22:11 mark of the second half) in similar fashion - getting behind the defense with his speed and carefully placing the ball past the keeper and into the net.

Sean VanWambeke netted the team's other goal in the first half, putting the Shorians up, 2-0, heading into the break.
