Police Blotter: Lawn Job and Aluminum Theft

Lawn job
Police were called to a home in the 22000 block of Stephens on Thursday morning after a resident reported a pickup truck drove across her lawn. The victim said she saw the vehicle leaving her driveway and noticed tracks in the snow. Officers were able to locate the truck at South Lake High School. The owner of the truck, a 16-year-old Eastpointe resident, was contacted about the incident and said he did it as a "joke." He was ticketed for malicious destruction of property.
Domestic dispute

Police were called to a home in the 26100 block of Cubberness on Tuesday afternoon for a domestic dispute. A 25-year-old Harrison Township woman allegedly assaulted the father of their child after he failed to attend a custody hearing in Macomb Circuit Court. She is alleged to have sprayed mace in his face. She was arrested for aggravated assault. Police continue their investigation.
Aluminum stolen

Officers were called Tuesday to the former Ziebart auto detailing business on 9 Mile Road for a report of stolen aluminum. According to a police report, the business sign was removed after the Ziebart location closed in February and recently the aluminum siding where the sign hung was reported stolen. Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call police at 586-445-5300.
