Police Blotter: Man Who Allegedly Bit Off Wife's Eyelid Arraigned
A Clinton Township man was arraigned Monday after weekend assault. Police also are investigating an alleged assault in a shower and a drunken minor.

Husband arrested after assault
A 32-year-old Clinton Township man is being held on $100,000 bond after allegedly striking his wife and biting off her eyelid early Sunday morning. Police were called to the home in the 23100 block of Recreation in St. Clair Shores for a report of family trouble. When officers arrived, they were greeted by a bloody 34-year-old woman who said she was assaulted by her husband, Rahsaan Thedford, who does not live with her. Thedford allegedly came over to the house, and after being told to leave, assaulted his wife, punching her in the face and hitting her head against the floor. Officers found him a short distance away, hiding under a fence. When he was arrested, police found bloody clothes hidden in his coat. He will return to court May 17.

Police are investigating an alleged assault Friday in the 22600 block of Bayview. A 53-year-old St. Clair Shores resident was taking a shower when his live-in girlfriend entered the bathroom and accused him of having an affair. During the argument the suspect began slamming the shower door until broke. She then began striking the victim with a bathroom rug and began scratching and hitting him. Police arrested Roxann Schinella, 59, for domestic violence. Her bond was set at $2,500.

Police were called early Sunday morning for a fight in progress. When officers arrived in the 19900 block of Alger they stopped a vehicle at the scene. As officers approached, a 20-year-old Troy man began yelling and hitting the ceiling. Police asked Zakkery Weaver to leave the vehicle, and he stated that there were “discrepancies” between him and his brother. As officers spoke to witnesses in the neighborhood, they identified Weaver as the person who was swearing in the street, threatening a neighbor and punching at vehicles. He was charged with malicious destruction of property, minor in possession and disturbing the peace. Weaver's bond was set at $2,500.
