Police Briefs: Officers Investigate Graffiti, Assault in Home

Woman Reports Assault in Her Home

A 20-year-old in the 21300 block of Timberidge called police to report that a 19-year-old female from Clinton Township and another male broke into her home and assaulted her on Sept. 9. The woman told police that the woman and two of her male friends came over, played poker and drank until 2 a.m. About two hours later, the Clinton Township woman and a male friend broke into her home, kicked in her bedroom door, jumped on her and assaulted her, according to a report. The couple fled the scene, and police are investigating. 

Jewelry Reported Stolen

An 81-year-old resident reported that someone had broken into her house in the 22000 block of 9 Mile on Sept. 9 and stole jewelry.

Graffiti Spray-Painted on Garage, Car

A 57-year-old resident reported that someone spray-painted an expletive with black paint on her garage in the 29900 block of Gloria on Sept. 10. 

A 26-year-old resident also reported to police on Sept. 10 that she was the victim of graffiti. The resident, who lives in the 29800 block of Taylor reported an expletive was painted in black paint on the passenger door and fender of her car.

Jewelry Box Theft

A 52-year-old resident reported that someone broke into his relative’s condo in the 1200 block of Woodbridge Sept. 10 and stole a jewelry box. 

Catalytic Converter Stolen

A 79-year-old resident on the 500 block of Sunset Lane reported Sept. 11 someone stole a catalytic converter from their vehicle.
