A 50-year-old St. Clair Shores resident was arraigned in 40th District Court Friday for allegedly possessing and distributing child pornography.
John Budzynowski was arrested Friday at his workplace without incident after a lengthy investigation by St. Clair Shores police and the Department of Homeland Security found "multiple" images of underage pornography on his computer.
"I find it very disturbing that this guy was living in our city," said Detective Sgt. David Centala.

Budzynowski was arraigned before Magistrate Mark Metry on charges of distributing pornographic images, possession of child pornography and two counts of using a computer to commit a crime. He is being held on $35,000 bond in the Macomb County Jail and is not allowed to use a computer and is not to have contact with anyone under 15 years old.
Investigators in St. Clair Shores were first made aware of Budzynowski by the Department of Homeland Security who discovered images of child pornography and traced them back to his computer.

During the course of the investigation, police found that he was involved in numerous "sexually explicit" instant message chats about young females with other adults, Centala said.
Investigators do not believe he produced any of the images.
Budzynowski will have a preliminary exam on March 25. He did not comment as he left court.
