St. Clair Shores Police Department Isn't Raising Money
Your caller ID may indicate a phone call from the police department, but don't answer it. It's a scam, police say.

St. Clair Shores, MI — The St. Clair Shores Police Department isn't soliciting donations, despite what the caller ID readout on your phone may suggest.
So, if you receive a call from someone claiming to be with the St. Clair Shores Police Department asking for donations, you're being targeted for a scam, authorities said.

The call-back number associated with the scam is (718) 673-3634.

Don't answer it, the police department warns.
"The St. Clair Shores Police Department does not solicit for any donations and, if a citizen is contacted by us and requested to call back, it would be to a general police department phone number," the city said on its Facebook page.
