Update: Suspect Vehicle Located In Break-Ins
St. Clair Shores police have located a sedan driven by man wanted in connection with a string of break-ins in the city.

St. Clair Shores police announced Wednesday they have recovered the sedan driven by a 40-year-old Detroit man wanted in a string of robberies in St. Clair Shores and resisting arrest.
Police found the four-door, white 2001 Cadillac Seville STS which they believe was driven by Kory Kordell Smith, a 5-foot-8-inch tall, 250-pound male, when he allegedly robbed , and .
The Michigan Department of Corrections and St. Clair Shores police are still searching for Smith. The Department of Corrections is attempting to arrest Smith for a parole violation for a home invasion charge in 2000 in Wayne County.

Officers unsuccessfully attempted to take him into custody Monday at a home in Detroit.
"Two officers attempted to take offender Smith into custody. While attempting to do so, he broke free," said John Cordell, Department of Corrections spokesman. "Both officers chased him. He made it up and over a fence."

While trying to arrest Smith, he injured one of the officers.
