There’s an app for that!
The Physician Alliance recently launched two free apps. One supports physicians by providing access to valuable information, and the other helps patients by providing a place to keep their doctors’ information all in one location.

The Physician Education app (LINK TO Mobile Apps webpage on our website) allows physicians to access important tips when they’re on the go. Need tips on improving HEDIS metrics, coding, revenue and more? Physicians can now access important tips, videos and more on their smartphones, tablets, and laptops. This valuable information helps improve knowledge, quality scores and incentive payments.

My Doctors app
My Doctors (LINK to Mobile Apps webpage) is the title of the second new mobile app launched by TPA. This app was designed with patients in mind and focuses on improving communication along the care continuum. The free My Doctors app can also be downloaded to patient’s smartphones or other devices. The app helps patients keep their physicians’ contact information in one easy to access location. All TPA members, more than 2,100 primary care and specialty physicians, are pre-populated in the app and appear in the search function. Patients can also add other providers by clicking “add a doctor manually.” This function allows patients to keep all of their health providers in one location. Some examples of information included:
· physician name
· specialty
· phone number
· address (with map function).
Users are required to create a personal identification number (PIN) during the first use to ensure their physician list remains private (the PIN can be disabled if the user chooses).
Michael Madden, president and CEO of The Physician Alliance, stated “our hope is that by keeping contact information in one location, it’s easier to share and will help lessen confusion and miscommunication along the care continuum.”
Both apps are compatible with Apple and Android based devices, and are now available in the Apple’s app store or Google Play or click here (LINK TO Mobile Apps webpage on our website.
