Benefitting Beaumont Children's, a Children's Miracle Network Hospital
Beaumont Children’s, A Children’s Miracle Network Hospital (CMN), will receive proceeds from a special Truck Show hosted by Love’s Truck Stop and the Motor City Chapter of the American Truck Historical Society, on Sunday, September 23, from 9am-5pm. The show will take place at Love’s Truck Stop in Capac and will feature 20-50 vehicles including historical big rigs and a few classic cars mixed in.
Love’s operates 470 truck stop locations nationwide with two located in Michigan that provide motorists with 24-hour access to fuel and travel needs.
“We are very committed to helping those in our communities,” said Travis Smith, Love’s Truck Stop general manager. “Our locations provide safe, clean environments to support travelers, but we also want our impact to reach those we serve once they are at home in their community. Supporting programs of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals allows us to aid families during important, and often stressful, times in their lives.”

From now until September 30, Love’s Truck Stops are hosting their annual CMN Balloon Campaign, raising donations for CMN one dollar at a time. The proceeds from the CMN Balloon Campaign at the local stops will specifically benefit the programs of Beaumont Children’s, a Children’s Miracle Network Hospital.
In addition to the balloon campaign, the Capac location will host a special afternoon for truck enthusiasts and families to enjoy. Guests attending the show can enjoy food and refreshments while they get a close look at some of the trucking world’s most interesting vehicles. Although there is no admission fee to browse the collection, donations are encouraged and will be given directly to the CMN campaign.

Since 1988, Beaumont has been the only Children’s Miracle Network Hospital in Southeast Michigan. One hundred percent of the donations raised in the local communities stays local to fund exceptional programs and services, vital pediatric equipment and scholarships for families who need financial assistance for medical care. Beaumont depends on community support to help fund these services. Through special events and grassroots fundraisers, such as Love’s Truck Stop Balloon Campaign and Truck Show, more than 200,000 children benefitted from CMN programs at Beaumont Children’s in 2017.
