Great Lakes Caring Hospice, serving patients in Macomb County, is seeking volunteers to join our team. We are hoping that you will share this opportunity with your employees, retirees, and clients.
“Your Happy New Year depends on what you do for others.” This anonymous quote is simple but powerful. Great Lakes Caring Hospice invites you to become a hospice volunteer and to fulfill your New Year’s Resolution.
Worried about dedicating your time? Four hours a month is all it takes to be a Great Lakes Caring Hospice volunteer. Volunteers are needed to visit patients and engage in activities such as playing music or singing, working on a craft project or sharing a special talent, or simply providing companionship through listening, talking, or holding a hand. They often provide respite care, allowing family members and caregivers to take a much-needed break. Patients enjoy and appreciate visits from people who want to spend time with them.
