Where to Get Flu Shots in Macomb County
The seasonal flu vaccine is now offered at Mount Clemens, Warren, and St. Clair Shores health centers.

MACOMB COUNTY, MI — The 2016-2017 seasonal flu vaccine is now offered by Macomb County Health Department at its Mount Clemens, Warren, and St. Clair Shores health centers.
The vaccine is recommended for anyone 6 months of age and older and especially for those who are at high risk for serious flu complications.
“We recommend getting vaccinated soon after flu vaccine becomes available to ensure that as many people as possible are protected before flu season begins,” William Ridella, director/health officer at Macomb County Health Department said in a press release.

Most people generally get the seasonal flu between October and May, but the timing of flu activity is different depending on year to year, as well as where you're located in the country.
As well as getting vaccinated, people can make conscious choices every day to prevent spreading the flu — such as washing their hands, staying away from sick people, and staying home from work or school if they have the flu.
