Whiz Kids: Lake Shore High School Women's Choir
Lake Shore High School wins Cruise Festival Overall Grand Championship Award for womenʼs choir.

- Whiz Kids' Accomplishment: During the Spring of 2011, the Lake Shore High School Choir, under the direction of Cynthia Ohrt, participated in the Bahamas Cruise Festival aboard Royal Caribbeanʼs Monarch of the Seas. In addition to earning a superior rating, the choir was also entered into competition against other ensembles that participated in one of over 50 other Cruise Festivals. After the conclusion of the final competition, Music Festivals and Cruise Festivals, the national sponsor of the event, named the choir of the winner of the 2011 Cruise Festival Overall Grand Championship Award for Womenʼs Choir. This award signifies the highest score overall in these categories from all of the 2011 Cruise Festivals.
