Woman Killed In Hit-And-Run On I-94 In Macomb County: Police

ST. CLAIR SHORES, MI — A woman was killed in a hit-and-run crash along Interstate 94 in Macomb County, according to police.

Officers found the woman lying dead in the westbound lanes on the freeway between 8 and 9 Mile roads in St. Clair Shores at 1:15 a.m. Wednesday, according to police.

They also found an unoccupied vehicle in the embankment near Shady Lane Avenue, according to police.

Investigators believe the car belonged to the woman, who crashed and then walked into the freeway where she was struck by another car that fled the scene.

Authorities have identified the woman and notified her family.

Police are investigating the incident as a fatal hit-and-run crash and ask anyone with information about the crash to call St. Clair Shores police at 586-445-5318.
