13-Year-Old Bicyclist Hit, Killed By Car In Wayne County: Police
The driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with investigators, according to police.
HURON TOWNSHIP, MI — A 13-year-old boy was hit and killed while riding his bike in Wayne County on Thursday, according to police.
The crash happened at 10:52 p.m. Thursday in the 18000 block of Huron River Drive in Huron Township, according to police.
Despite lifesaving efforts, police said the boy died at the scene.

The driver, a 17-year-old from Huron Township, stayed at the scene and is cooperating with investigators, according to police.
"The young man we lost last night will never be forgotten," Huron Township Director of Public Safety Everette Robbins said. "He was well liked by the students he went to school with. Our prayers go out to his family. At this time, we are not releasing his name. We will give the family time to grieve and should they wish, we will be honored to tell everyone more about him when the time is right. We also pray for the young driver whose life changed last night. This was a tragedy for so many."
