SOUTH ROCKWOOD, MI — A man is dead after a weekend shooting at a metro Detroit marina, according to sheriff's officials.
The shooting happened at 7:17 a.m. Sunday at Downriver Marina in South Rockwood, located at 11200 block of US Turnpike in South Rockwood, according to sheriff's officials.
Officers arrived at the marina and found the 54-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds, according to sheriff's officials.
He was taken to Corewell Hospital in Trenton, where he died of his injuries, according to sheriff's officials.
The suspects sped away from the marina in a vehicle that was last seen traveling westbound on South Huron River Drive, according to sheriff's officials.
Officials did not release any other details about the suspects.
