• Downriver Area Soroptimists' accepting applications for scholarships (thenewsherald.com) — High school girls and women in Trenton can now apply for several Downriver Area Soroptimist scholarships, with awards up to $3,000 and deadlines starting November 15. Programs support young volunteers, women who are primary family breadwinners, and college students pursuing bachelor's or master's degrees. The group also welcomes new members at its monthly Woodhaven meetings.
