• Berlin Township man shoots, kills his dog, after animal attacks woman, deputies say (cbsnews.com) — A woman seriously injured by a dog attack in Monroe County was transported to Corewell Health Trenton Hospital for treatment, tying this incident directly to local emergency services. Deputies say the Berlin Township roommate's Akita repeatedly bit the 25-year-old, who stabbed the dog to stop the attack before the owner later shot and killed it. Authorities are still investigating and asking for tips.
