Anthony Bass Returns to Colorado to Make Second Career Start
Trenton native returns to Coors Field where he had his first start and win.

The San Diego Padres have returned to Colorado to face the Colorado Rockies and with that Anthony Bass will make his third career start at the same major league baseball park, Coors Field, that saw him win his back on June 13.
Bass is a 23-year old native of Trenton who started the season with the Padres minor league team, the San Antonio Missions. Bass was called up due to injuries on the team. He pitched well, only to be sent down to the minors right after the game.
Thirteen days later, and has spent the season since then coming out of the bullpen for the Padres. The Padres have eased him into game situations, with Bass normally pitching in situations where the games have been either big leads for the Padres or big leads for other teams.

Bass has handled himself well, posting a 1.88 ERA with a 1.30 WHIP. He has added 21 strikeouts as well.Bass will go against Rockies starter Aaron Cook (3-9), the same pitcher that opposed Bass for his first major league start. The game starts at 3:10 p.m.
