Bad Weather, Track and Field and the Lady Trojans

Dear Mother Nature,

This crazy-weather-thing you’ve got going on here in Michigan isn’t funny anymore.

It’s making our job here at the Pick of the Week pretty difficult. 

Fields are flooded, fans are frozen in the stands, and games are getting cancelled left and right.

If you could please wave your wand, wrinkle your nose or place an order with the sun (whatever it is you have to do), and send some spring-like weather our way.

This is getting ridiculous.

Well fans, I hope that does some good.

Either way, we’ll continue to press on here at POW and look at the week ahead, fingers crossed that the weather turns the corner and turns into something that resembles spring here in the mitten-shaped state.

Here’s a brief look at some of the more enticing match-ups this week.

• Tuesday afternoon the baseball squad from Trenton High has a big game against Allen Park High beginning at 4 p.m. This game has been canceled due to rain. The girls softball game has also been canceled.
• Girls tennis hosts Ladywood April 28. The Lady Trojans will be serving it up starting at 4 p.m.
• The boys and girls track teams travel to Woodhaven Thursday in a key match-up. The meet is scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m.
• Trenton High girls soccer welcomes Anderson High Wednesday evening at 7 p.m.
