Nationally known jazz flutist Alexander Zonjic and his band will perform with special guest, world music jazz star Keiko Matsui, at the landmark Trenton Village Theatre, Sunday, April 21st for an unforgettable evening of great music. The show starts at 7:30 p.m.

Keyboardist, Keiko Matsui, has developed an international following, based on her unique compositions that are a combination of world music, new age and jazz fusion. Her performances are known for the array of style and atmosphere, ranging from elegant piano melodies and gentle jazz grooves to hard driving funk rhythms. With over a million and a half albums sold and scores of sold out concerts, across the globe, the beautiful Keiko Matsui is one of the brightest stars in instrumental music. She’s shared the stage with everyone from Stevie Wonder and Miles Davis to Hugh Masakela and Bob James. She recently introduced her latest album, “The Road.”
Award winning flutist Alexander Zonjic is a jazz favorite across the country for
his cool jazz grooves and exciting shows. He has shared the stage with such
greats as Kenny G and Jeff Lorber as well as Matsui. He currently hosts a syndicated radio show called Alexander Zonjic From A to Z that airs on Canadian radio and WVMV’s HD2 Channel. He won the 2010 Album of the Year and Broadcaster of the Year at the Canadian Smooth Jazz Awards. In addition to performing in one hundred concerts a year, he is the creative director for four summer music festivals in the Detroit – Windsor area.
The historic Trenton Village Theatre is a state of the art live performance venue, built in art deco style and recently renovated. Located at 2447 W. Jefferson in downtown Trenton it serves as the home of continuing theatre productions and special concerts in a lovely, intimate setting.
