Come to Lake Erie Marshlands Museum & Nature Center to learn what a snowsnake is. (FYI: It's a long stick, carved to resemble a snake, which is then thrown down a grooved track in the snow.) It's a Native American tradition, and you'll get to make your own and compete at Erie Ice Daze (held Jan. 21-22).
Registration is required. Cost is $5 per person. Call 734-379-5020 or 800-477-3189 for more details or to sign up.
