The Wyandotte-Downriver branch of the AAUW begins its 2015-2016 activities with an Open House & Indoor Picnic, featuring a chicken dinner from Soltz’s Quality Meats & Catering. It will be held on Tuesday, September 8 at 6:30 PM at the DeSana Center for Arts & Culture, 81 Chestnut Street, in Wyandotte.
Members of the public, both male and female, who have an interest in addressing pay equity, women in leadership, campus safety and other issues concerning women and girls, are welcome to attend. A $5.00 donation at the door covers the meal.
Following dinner, enjoy a presentation featuring perspectives gained from participation at last June’s National Conference in San Diego, meet our branch officers, and gather information about upcoming activities and programs.
