Trenton and Woodhaven Battle For Playoff Lives
Both teams have the same record. Both teams have the same amount at stake in Friday's contest at Trenton's Homecoming Night.
One thing will be for sure amongst all the Homecoming festivities Friday night at when the Trojans play the Warriors: there will be no post-season action for the loser.
Each team owns a 4-3 record and is coming off big wins last week. Trenton beat Melvindale 32-6 playing what Coach Bob Czarnecki called one their most complete games of the season. Woodhaven exploded for 78 points against Kennedy behind the play of their magnificent quarterback Nick Maher.
Maher threw for four touchdowns and ran for three more. Czarnecki said that his team must stop the elusive quarterback to keep their playoff hopes alive.

"He's very good," Czarnecki said. "They've got two good running backs, too. We're going to have to play an 'assignment game'. Our guys are going to have assignments and they're going to have to make reads."
Friday also marks Trenton High School's homecoming night. But Czarnecki doesn't expect that to be a distraction.

"I think it'll be good," Czarnecki said. "The kids will be up for it. (Trenton) does a good job of not overdoing it."
"I see this game as the most important game we've had all year," said Trojan lineman Cory Buckner. "This game will make or break our playoff runs. Plus it's homecoming, and you never lose your homecoming."
