Michigan Company's Pork Sausage Products Face Recall

A recall of about 49,000 pounds of Quincy Street pork sausage products was announced late Thursday.

About 49,000 pounds of pork sausage products produced by a Michigan-based company are being recalled because they might be contaminated with foreign materials, according to a Detroit News report.

Quincy Street Inc. pork sausage items made between April 22-23 with the establishment number “EST. 18963” inside the USDA mark of inspection are the products that are affected by the recall, the report stated. Quincy Street is based in Holland.

The Food Safety and Inspection Service of the U.S. Department of Agriculture announced the recall late Thursday, the report stated. At the time, the agency had not received reports of any ill effects caused by eating the products the report added.
