Patch Player of the Game: Jason Barbosa

Pretty good night, wouldn't you say?

The senior was a beast for the Trojans who, like they will be for remainder of the season, were in a do-or-die game against Melvindale. The Trojans must win the rest of their games to make the playoffs and Barbosa did his part to make sure that Melvindale wasn't the team to spoil the season.

"It felt good tonight," Barbosa said. "Chad Hamilton did a great job of getting me the ball. A lot of hot routes. Defense played well. Great win."

Barbosa was practically unstoppable Friday at the Cardinals homecoming night. In fact, the thing that came closest to stopping him was a strep throat and fever all week.

"I told him he couldn't play. But of course he did," Barbosa's mom Rene said. "He was in the emergency room at one point and yeah. He's tough."

"I was a little sick, yeah. I had about 104 temperature. But I had to be ready go tonight," Barbosa said.

Two touchdowns, a pick, and a fumble recovery? It's sounds like you were ready to go.
