Player Profile: Cody Gundick

PROFILE:

Position: FB

Class: Senior

At a glance: While Cody Gundick had fairly pedestrian numbers last season, he is afterall a fullback. It's a position that doesn't light up the stat sheet, but ask any coach, running back, or quarterback and you'll find they have great value.

This is why Gundick will be a pivotal piece in the Trojan offense this season. In addition to football, Gundick is a skilled carpenter who has received encouragement from his woodshop instructor to take over teaching the course someday.

IN HIS WORDS:

On last season: "It was alright. We didn't have that many leading seniors--I think we had like 12. This year we have more senior leaders that will step up."

On upcoming season: "For myself, I at least want a touchdown this year, because I didn't get one last year. For the team, our goal should be to go to the playoffs."

Plans after school: "My woodshop teachers wants me to take his job...but if that don't work, go to U of M Dearborn and become a physical therapist."
