Police Blotter: A Woman’s House is Robbed, A Doctor Reports a Broken Window and More

Trenton police responded to calls about a ransacked house, a broken office window and stolen copper piping.

Doctor reports broken office window

Police responded to a call about a broken window at about 10 a.m. on Feb. 21 at the office of Dr. John E. Bodell, 2871 West Road.

Bodell told police that sometime over the weekend an unknown person damaged the large window in the front office. The window had a small quarter-size hole with cracks surrounding it according to police.

Police said it is unknown what caused the damage and there were no witnesses or suspects at the time of the report.

A real estate agent reported to police someone had stolen all of the copper pipes out of a house that she has for sale at about 1 p.m. Feb. 21 in the 5000 block of Wilson Street.

Police said it was unknown how much the repair of the pipes would cost at the time of the report.

A woman’s home is ransacked and robbed

A woman reported to police that she returned to her house after being away for a couple of days to find that someone had ransacked her house and stolen a few items at about 1:30 p.m. Feb. 22 in the 2000 block of Dickinson Street.

The woman said she had left on Feb. 20 and returned to find someone had entered her house through a bedroom window by cutting the screen.

According to police the suspect broke a stand-up mirror with an unknown blunt object and two holes were made in separate walls also by blunt objects.

The woman reported several items had been overturned, her clothes were thrown about and scatted in two bedrooms and several pieces of cosmetic jewelry were taken including an opal ring, pearl necklace and earrings.

Several DVDs and CDs were also damaged.

Police found a set of footprints from the sidewalk to the southeast window and back to the sidewalk and then to an unknown direction.

The estimated value of the damaged and stolen property was about $300.
