Police Blotter: Police Picked Up Man Suspected of Breaking Into Cars
Police took a 20-year-old man into custody after finding out he had allegedly broken into at least two cars.

Police picked up a 20-year-old man at his father’s house at about 3 a.m. March 3 after finding out the man had allegedly broken into at least two cars in the parking lot of Harbor Condos.
Police responded to a call about a larceny in progress and heard that the owner of one of the cars was chasing two suspects toward the back of the complex.
One of the suspects, a 17-year-old boy, attempted to go into a building on Marie Street, but then began walking toward police.

The boy told police he and his friend were out walking and his friend, the 20-year-old man, began to enter cars in the parking lot and so he left the area.
The boy added that a man was chasing them, but had not caught them.

The boy told police he was scared and had warned his friend not to get in the cars.
Police attained the man’s father’s address and took the man into custody.
Both the man and the boy were transported to the station where they were processed.
The boy was released into his brother’s custody and told police he would tell the detectives anything they need to know because he didn’t do anything.
