Right to Life Fundraiser - May 3

Despite the weather forecast for off/on rain all day, and a downpour prior to the starting time for the May 3, 2014 Life Walk Fundraiser for the Right to Life of Michigan, the Upper Downriver affiliates  continued on with their 2.5 mile walk and luncheon at the Bishop Park Log Cabin, as the rain subsided.

Ed Kroll, of Wyandotte, won the $100 savings bond and the 1st place medal for bringing in the most pledge money, which he graciously donated back to the group.

A big “Thank You” goes out to everyone who participated in the march, and drove from Taylor and Romulus to join in, and to all who brought their potluck dishes and helped with the planning, setting up, registering, and helping to clean up, etc.  The march started out with a prayer and ended up on a high note of good fellowship.
