When the parking lot resurfacing began at the old Riverside Hospital, the local residents rejoiced. We thought that, FINALLY, something was going to be done to renovate the eyesore. The cyclone fence came down. Three of the six lots (A,B, and F) were resurfaced, then the work ... just... stopped.
The entire landscaping job, parking lots as well as walls and greenery, was to be completed by December 31. That would have been true if the improvements that had begun months ago continued as promised.
Why isn't the work being done? Is it because of Hennessey Inc., the engineering firm? Is because of Dr. Nasir, who has constantly found reason after inane reason to leave the property in derelict condition? He is notoriously absent from any meetings. His Riverview property is almost finished, yet Riverside Hospital remains a community disgrace. We residents want answers.
