Trenton High School's Fall Play "Zap" Promises to Entertain

28 actors, 7 genres, 1 hilarious chaotic mess... Trenton High School's performance of "Zap" hits the stage next weekend.

We live in a world fueled by a need for instant gratification: fast food, fast communication, and even faster forms of entertainment. The play Zap by Paul Fleischman keeps this modern lifestyle in mind by presenting seven different plays at once. Imagine the stage as a television set. The scenes are flipped through like TV channels: “high art meets short attention span.“ The actors struggle to make their cues and stay in character as secrets are revealed and the entire production begins to fall apart. Zap puts a new spin on the theater tradition, creating a fun and fast-paced performance that will keep the audience laughing and on its toes.

Genres included in Zap: English Mystery, Comedy, Russian, Shakespeare’s Richard III, Performance Art Monologue, Southern, Avant-Garde
