Soroptimist International of Trenton Area, which dedicates its volunteer efforts to improving the lives of women and girls, will hold its 15th annual women-sponsored motorcycle ride, “Save the Girls,” on September 8, 2018. The Soroptimists are inviting bikers as well as the general public to participate. All proceeds from this event will go to help domestic violence victims, human trafficking victims and awareness events, and women's health issues (with the focus on ovarian cancer, cervical cancer, and breast cancer) and other Soroptimist service projects.
The ride begins at Motown Harley-Davidson, 14100 Telegraph Road in Taylor. Check in is from 9:30 A.M. – 11:30 A.M. where cider, coffee, water, and donuts will be available. Kickstands up at 11:45 A.M. The ride will be approximately 50 to 60 miles with police escorts and road captains from HOG. The ride ends back at Motown Harley with music, food, beverages, and raffle baskets. 50/50 tickets will also be sold. A 42-inch stone wood firepit will have its own special raffle. Pre-registration provided by mail or online (http://formsmarts.com/form/1mdn). The cost is $25 per rider, $10 per passenger, and $10 for a non-rider for a meal ticket only.
