Trojanettes Smoke Carlson, Advance To Finals

Not much to say about this game except the score--14-0. That about tells the story.

The Trojanettes had the bats popping Saturday against district host Carlson and now go on to face Riverview in the championship.

"We played well," said Coach John Biedenbach, in what could be the understatement of the afternoon, before admitting that his team's toughest challenge was to come.

Trenton and Riverview split their season series one game apiece. Riverview will be looking for payback after the Trojanettes beat them for the district title last season.

"It's going to come down to who can hit the ball," said Biedenbach pointing to the matchup of two of downriver's top aces. Trenton senior Ellie Fodor, who threw the complete game shutout against the Marauders, will again take the mound against the Pirates.

"It's going to be a battle," said Biedenbach.
