Weather Service Issues Watch for Southeast Michigan
Another 1-3 inches of rain, and higher amounts in some areas, expected to fall on already saturated ground.
Southeast Michigan is under a flash flood watch beginning at 2 p.m. as a new round of thunderstorms capable of dumping 1-3 inches of rain moves into the area, the National Weather Service said.
Thunderstorms producing torrential rain could produce flooding along already rain-swollen rivers and creeks after 3 p.m. in Oakland, Macomb, Washtenaw, Wayne, Genesee, Livingston and several other southeast Michigan counties.

The watch remains in effect through Monday evening.

Some areas may see even higher rainfall totals, according to the National Weather Service in White Lake Township, the Detroit Free Press reports.
The hot, oppressive air will give way to cooler temperatures Tuesday, when the forecast calls for 79 degrees with lower humidity.
