Work on M-1 Rail Project Will Shut Down Parts of I-94 This Weekend

Parts of I-94 will be shut down this weekend as crews work on Detroit’s M-1 Rail project, according to a Detroit News report.

During the shutdown, eastbound I-94 will be detoured to southbound M-10 and northbound I-75, and westbound I-94 will be detoured to southbound I-75 and northbound M-10, the report stated.

According to the report, the construction will shut down the following areas of I-94:

  • Between the Lodge Freeway (M-10) and I-75 from 9 p.m. Friday, June 5, to 5 a.m., Monday, June 8
  • The westbound ramp to Beaubien Street and Woodward Avenue
  • The westbound Chene ramp
  • The eastbound 14th Street ramp
  • The Lodge Freeway ramps
  • The I-75 ramps to westbound I-94
  • The I-96 ramps to eastbound I-94
