$1,000 Reward in Hit-and-Run that Killed Homeless Man: Updated

The Oakland County Sheriff's Office said older model red SUV left the scene after hitting pedestrian. Have you seen it?

Updated. PONTIAC, MI — A 53-year-old homeless man died Friday evening after he was struck while walking across Telegraph Road near Menoninee Street in Pontiac, and Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for help in locating the driver of an older model red SUV who allegedly left the scene after hitting the man, police said.

The victim, Timothy Guy Pressnell, was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision at 7:25 p.m. via telemetry, the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release. His body was turned over to the Oakland County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Pressnell wasn’t in a designated crosswalk when he was struck about 7:10 p.m., according to the release.
The sheriff’s office said a witness described the suspect vehicle as a red older model SUV, possibly a 1998-2001 GMC Jimmy or Oldsmobile Bravada with left front headlight damage. To phone in a tip, call Crime Stoppers at (800) SPEAK-UP.
