1 Car Wash Employee Dead, Another Injured In Troy Accident

TROY, MI -- An employee of a car wash in Troy was killed and another seriously injured in an accident Monday afternoon, police said. A pickup truck reportedly came off an automated washing area and struck the two employees at Jax Kar Wash on West Maple Road.

They were taken to Royal Oak Beaumont Hospital, where one person was pronounced dead.

The driver of the Ford F-150 pickup truck, a 64-year-old Rochester man, was not injured, police said. He has not been taken into custody.

Officers are investigating the cause of the crash.
